Proceeds benefit the club’s partner, Camp Sunshine, a retreat in Maine for chronically ill children and their families. With beach temps in the low 30s, hundreds of swimmers took the Polar Bear Club's annual New Year's Day plunge at Coney Island Jan. 1, 2014. The event raised more than $65,000 for Camp Sunshine (almost twice their goal). To see photos from this year's ...
  • Sept. 22 Alzheimer’s walk raised more than $100,000!

On Sunday, Sept. 22, more than 1,000 walkers headed to Stillwell Avenue and the Coney Island boardwalk (not far from Ruby's) for Brooklyn's 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer's. The 2-mile event helped raise awareness and more than $100,000 for Alzheimer's care and research. To donate to the organization, please click HERE!      ...
